What is ISP?
ISP is short for Internet Service Provider.
ISPs are companies that provide internet service to the user and they use copper wires, satellites, fiber optics and the like to enable their consumers to access the internet. The type of access differs based on consumer preferences.
Bandwidth determines the price of internet service. It is the amount of data that can pass through an internet connection at a given time. ISPs connect with each other by creating a communication trunk. This brings massive amounts of data to smaller cities, and from there to neighborhoods and our homes.
All computers connecting to the Internet are part of a network. Whether you are using a dial-up connection or a local area network, there is an Internet Service Provider company that provides you with Internet service. When a user connects to an ISP, it becomes part of their system. From there it connects to a larger network and becomes a part of their network. This series of network connections makes up the internet.
