What is FAT32?
FAT32 is a version of the "File Allocation Table" (FAT) file system introduced by Microsoft in 1996 with the operating system "Windows 95 OSR2" (OEM Service Releases 2). It is an extension of Microsoft's FAT16 file system.
The purpose of FAT32 was to overcome the limitations of FAT16, add support for larger data components, provide better performance, flexibility and robustness.
FAT32 supports more than 2TB (Terabytes) hard disk storage.
