What is DNS Server?
DNS Servers are servers that contain all related public IP addresses and domain names and translate them to each other. When you type "www.xy.com" in your browser to reach a machine-readable IP address, eg. Converts to 125.184.18.12. This is quite important because computers cannot handle domain names. In order to access websites, they must look up the IP address associated with that domain name.
Therefore, DNS servers are considered a translator that connects both the human and computer worlds.
Every time you type the name of a website in your browser, your machine follows a series of steps to access that website. The first step is to request information from your computer. The computer looks in the DNS cache, which acts as a storage for all the DNS information your machine is querying. If it can't find the information there, it must perform a DNS query for that particular domain.
