What is Blueprint ?
Blueprint is the name given to the draft that contains all the information needed to do any project.
While the concept of "Blueprint" was used for projects belonging to certain sectors (eg construction) in the past, it is used for all kinds of projects today.
Where Does the Blueprint Name Come From?
A very curious subject is where the name "Blueprint" came from.
After architectural and engineering drawings were created on paper in the 19th century, the original drawings had to be copied. This was necessary both to store the drawings and to be handed over to other employees to progress the project more quickly.
A method invented by the French chemist "Alphonse Louis Poitevin" in 1861 facilitated this. Accordingly, plans made on translucent paper or cloth were adhered to another paper soaked with a chemical compound. After drying, the chemicals reacted to the light by exposing the paper to a bright light source for a few minutes, thus copying it onto a blue-coloured paper.
